The Millennium Center is an all-inclusive, historic, wedding venue in the heart of Winston-Salem, NC. Originally built in 1914, it was once a A Federal Building with a Post Office, US Federal Court, US Attorney, FBI, US Marshal, Military enlistment offices, and the IRS. It was abandoned when operations moves downtown. In 1994, Gregory Carlyle purchased the property and spent three decades restoring it. To wed in The Millennium Center is to write your love story in the pages of history. With plenty of space for your Ceremony, Cocktail hour in our Grand Lobby and Reception and celebration in The Milleninium Ballroom. The Millenium Center employs an experienced event staff who will diligently work towards the success of your event, eliminating the hassle of coordinating multiple vendors. This includes skilled, in-house coordinators, a culinary team, servers, bartenders, event managers, custodians and security. Upon choosing to work with them, you will have access to their carefully selected inventory of tables, chairs, linens, china, and crystal. You can also avail of their full-service floral and design department if you so choose. Alternatively, you may bring your own decorations. Professional sound and lighting, technical assistance, setup, and teardown are also included in your rental. The in-house culinary team is a talented group who are quite accustomed to working closely with families and executing multiple styles of cuisine and service. The venue allows outside caterers only if you require special international cuisine.

Greg, Edie, Mary and the whole team at Millennium Center truly go above and beyond to make your wedding day the absolute best day of your life. Nothing was too big or small of an ask. The bridal and groom's suite were fully stocked with anything we could want and were amazing spaces to spend time with our bridal party during the day. We had our ceremony in the old federal courthouse upstairs and it was so intimate and dreamy with 200 of our closest friends, then we transitioned downstairs for cocktail hour and our reception. Greg even opened up roof top access for us to take photos during Golden Hour that are truly stunning. And can we talk about the FOOD?! We had so many people come up and say the food we had for our buffet "Was not wedding food" with many calling it "a 5 star meal." We even added a "late night bite" a month out and Greg and his team pulled out the most delicious french fry bar, it was a huge hit. Our band LOVED the full stage and in house tech-team, and we truly had a party from the moment it started until our exit, which over 100 people stayed for because the vibes were immaculate. The pricing was the actual best in the state. Don't want to worry about linen, table and chair rentals and the massive fees that come with them? Don't want to be stuck with in-house planner fees and searching for mid-at-best wedding catering? Struggling to fork over thousands of dollars for florals you will use for six hours? Greg thinks through and offers options for all of this for you, and takes care of labor and services so it is off your plate for the fairest cost that you truly would not believe in comparison to other vendors. Oh, and he pulled all of this together in under 7 months so we could get the discount for an off-season wedding with him and our vendors and not have to sweat on our wedding day! Millennium Center is the venue for you. We are so thankful for all that Greg and his team did and we truly feel like we are apart of the family now!

If you're even remotely considering The Millennium Center for your wedding, stop second-guessing and just book it! My husband and I got married in April 2024 and had the best experience. We had toured several venues, but The Millennium Center immediately stood out as the perfect choice. The venue’s stunning architecture, history, and prime location in downtown Winston-Salem made it the ideal setting for our special day. Greg (owner), Evie (his wife), and their entire team went above and beyond to ensure BOTH the planning process and our wedding day were flawless. Greg took the time to meet with us several times, answering all of our questions and never rushing us. These meetings weren’t just about logistics—they were always fun conversations to get to know each other. The team worked closely with us to personalize every detail, from incorporating cultural elements into our food menu, to offering excellent vendor recommendations. They even went the extra mile with personal touches, like stocking the bar with our favorite options. They also gave us great advice on certain setups but never overpowered our perspectives—they truly listened to what we wanted. On the big day, everything was executed flawlessly. We spent the entire day at The Millennium Center, including getting ready (there is plenty of space to do so comfortably!). The team’s attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to bringing our vision to life was extraordinary. We never had to worry about a thing—it was a stress-free and unforgettable experience. Our guests are still raving about the food (especially the chicken, and shrimp and grits!), the bar service, the venue’s beauty, and of course, Greg. He made a point to check in with guests throughout the day to make sure everyone was happy and had everything they needed. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue or a more amazing team to work with.

I cannot recommend the Millennium Center staff and hospitality enough! We had to change plans months prior to our wedding due to my husband's military schedule and the staff was MORE than accommodating. Having everything all in one package too - the food, decor, and beautiful location truly made it so easy for us to host our event. Greg and the Millennium Center went above and beyond to make our celebration a success. You will not regret booking them for your event!

We had an unforgettable and perfect wedding reception thanks to the Milenium Center. Our family and friends are still talking about it! Greg, Edie, and Mary are the best team. Our wedding reception was everything we wanted and more. The whole team made everything easy. This venue is for the bride and groom that are open to trying new ideas, want a built in planing advice, a day of person all in one. They have plently of options for decor, their sound system is amazing, and they have plenty of space for any type of crowd. They even went out of their way to help us set up garage parking for our guests. The area was safe and right in the heart of downtown. Would highly recommend this venue and this team to help make your day special!
