Riverside event spaces, breweries and restaurants along the river through town, with Drake Park and Mirror Pond a short walk from the hotels.

When to book in Bend

Bend's season runs from June through early October, with late June and September the most requested; summer Saturdays book 12 months or more ahead at the ranch and lake venues, and the Cascade Lakes Highway usually doesn't open until late spring. Wildfire smoke can settle over Central Oregon in August, so a backup indoor plan is worth having. Winter dates around the ski season are quiet and inexpensive. Watch for the Sisters Rodeo in June, the folk festival there in September and the summer tourism peak in July and August, when lodging in Bend and Sunriver is tight and expensive.
