Wedding vendors

Wedding vendors in Fresno, CA

Fresno is the heart of the San Joaquin Valley, and its weddings look like it: almond and citrus orchards, family ranches and packing-house barns outside town, historic streets in Old Town Clovis, and theaters and event spaces in the Tower District and Downtown. The Sierra is close enough that Bass Lake, Shaver Lake and the road to Yosemite double as venues, and Madera County's vineyards add a wine-country option. The vendor market is smaller than the coastal metros, and for the categories we can price, rates land close to the rest of inland California. Here's what a Fresno wedding actually costs where we have solid data, where couples are getting married, and when to book, plus a shortcut to vetted, available Fresno vendors matched to your date and budget.

Where couples get married in Fresno

The Tower District & Downtown

Restored theaters, event halls and a few converted warehouses in the city's oldest entertainment district, close to hotels and restaurants.

Clovis & the eastern orchards

Old Town Clovis for a small-town main street, with ranch barns and orchard venues stretching east toward Sanger and the foothills.

Madera County wine country

Vineyards and estate venues along the Madera wine trail north of the city, the valley's answer to a Napa weekend at a friendlier scale.

The Sierra foothills & lakes

Bass Lake, Shaver Lake and Oakhurst for pine-and-water settings an hour up the hill, with Yosemite's gateway towns for a mountain weekend.

When to book in Fresno

The Valley's calendar is shaped by heat. April, May, October and early November give you warm days without the triple digits, and those Saturdays fill first, particularly at orchard and vineyard venues. Book a spring or fall Saturday 10 to 12 months ahead. June through September regularly passes 100 degrees, so summer weddings start at dusk or move into the mountains. Late February and March bring the Blossom Trail, when the orchards east of town bloom and photographers get booked up. Plan around the Big Fresno Fair in October and Fresno State home games, which tie up hotels near the university.

Common questions

Our Fresno data is deep enough to price photography and video, DJs and live music, hair and makeup, and rentals, and on those lines Fresno sits close to Sacramento and San Diego rather than well below them. We don't yet have enough priced Fresno venues or caterers to publish a reliable range, so treat those as the lines to get local quotes on early. Guest count drives most of the total either way. The ranges above come from real vendor pricing in our Fresno data, and Our Day negotiates exclusive rates on your behalf.
