Jose is a good friend of mine and when speaking to him about our wedding plans in 2023, I mentioned to him that we didn’t have an officiant yet to perform our ceremony and that I wanted someone that knew us and could make our day special. It was in that conversation that Jose said he would love to be a part of our day and assist us with this important task. This would be his first time officiating but his offer struck a cord with me…why didn’t I think of him right away? A lightbulb went off for me. Jose was the perfect person! He knew me, had gotten to know my finance, and I just knew he could take on the task of creating a very heartfelt, personal, and sometimes humorous ceremony for us, which would be right up our alley. The more I thought about it, I knew he was the one to do it. And I was right! Jose met with my fiancé and I and we planned out how we wanted our day to go. Our desires and his ideas came together to outline what ended up being a beautiful and memorable beginning of our journey together as a couple. Some of the fun parts we added to the ceremony were talked about through the reception and for days afterwards. People commented that they had been to many weddings, but ours stood out!
