Stowe has a four-season calendar, but two seasons fill first. Foliage peaks here earlier than most of New England, usually the last week of September into the first week of October, and those Saturdays plus Columbus Day weekend need the venue 14 months or more ahead. Summer, from late June through August, is the second peak, green and cool at night with the notch road open. Winter weddings are common at the resorts, but Christmas week and Presidents' week are ski-crowd weeks with the highest room rates of the year.
