+9At The English Garden Florist of Raleigh, flowers are more than a business; they are a way of life. As third generation Florist, founders Warren English and Cydney Davis-English had the experience of literally growing up in the business. Their mothers both kept playpens in the design room. More than sixty years ago, their grandmothers,“Nanny” and “Granny B”, opened Florist when they were left as single mothers with young families to rear on their own. Their parents each continued their family’s floral tradition. Warren’s mother, Sarah, owned and operated an award winning florist in Wilmington, NC until her retirement. After Cydney’s grandmother retired, her father Richard opened his first florist and with his wife, Sidney, they have been successful shop owners for over 40 years.

The entire team at English Garden was phenomenal for our wedding! Kelci and Cyndey helped to make my dreams come to life for all floral needs from boutonnières, bridesmaid bouquets, a magical bridal bouquet, and my personal favorite - vine work on the pillars on our venue that absolutely brought the space to life. No request was too big or too small, and the passion from the team was unmatched. My husband and I felt cared for and supported from the planning process all the way up through our special day. If you’re looking for unmatchable artistry and above and beyond customer service from a team who truly loves what they do, look no further. We can’t thank English Garden enough!
The English Garden does the most beautiful floral arrangements. They are so kind to work with and will work within your budget. They listened to what I wanted and then showed me what their designs looked like then we were able to adjust to make sure I was pleased. The day of the wedding they delivered all arrangements, bouquets, pocket squares on time and walked us through everything. I would use them again and again!
The English Garden was a joy to work with for our wedding! The staff was very friendly and did a great job helping me visualize how everything would look with pictures and real examples. I was blown away with how everything came together on the day of! They really captured the esthetic I was going for and all the flowers were so fresh and gorgeous!
I can’t say enough good things about English Garden! My flowers were probably one of the favorite parts of my wedding. I wanted very colorful, lush, and almost tropical florist. They NAILED my vision and communicated their process along the way. I received so many compliments on my flowers, even from the venue staff who said they were excited to see such colorful and different blooms!
